About

John works out from his studio in Rushden, Northamptonshire. He goes on to say…

I’ve been interested in photography for about 40 years and most days I can be found working in the studio or editing stills or video. I’ve won awards for much of my work which I enter into national and international competitions, in 2010 I was awarded Erotic Artist of the Year 2010, by JADE Magazine. In 2012 I won Best Photographer 2012 in the Guild of Erotic Artist awards. I’m a member of the Royal Photographic Society, achieving my ARPS distinction in 2004 and my Fellowship in 2013.

Many pieces of my work are exhibited in galleries worldwide and are available exclusively on websites that cater for erotic, fetish and art-nude art work. I’ve published 4 of my own books of my erotic and fetish work, along with having work included in many more art-nude, erotic and fetish books.

My main area of photographic work evolves around photographing the female form. I love working both in a studio and on location work, for both offer tremendous artistic flexibility and inspire an incredible range of ideas and imagery. I have a great eye for detail and I’ve developed my skills in lighting over the years to an extend that many people recognise my work simply by how the model is lit.

The studio is a blank canvas where you create and control everything, whereas the landscape we can only ever interact with it and never exercise complete control. I like to create images that stir the imagination, that are erotic, even raunchy but not explicit. The mind is so much more powerful so it’s good to leave some things up to the viewer’s imagination.
