Erotic Art Exhibition - The Gallery Liverpool
It’s been a just over a week since Erotica 2011 at Olympia, London. It was great to meet old friends and catch up, but also to meet many online friends for the first time. A massive thank you to all of you who popped by, who purchased items from me and helped to make the show a very successful one for me.
I’ve included some images taken during the Erotica 3 days, they include Joceline Brooke Hamilton and Blue Sapphire who helped to ‘man’ my stand and talk to my customers, plus one or two images of customers who purchased items.
It’s great to show your work at a show like Erotica, but even more so when people buy your work and book you for private commissions and tuition. I’m looking forward to running some fantastic tuition sessions and shooting some wonderful images for customers who booked private commissions with me.
I’m already planning for Erotica 2012, see you there…

Report on the Private Viewing of Erotic Exhibition in Liverpool
by Len Gifford
Firstly the exhibition and work looked stunning. Every part of the gallery was full of vibrant erotic photos, paintings, drawings and sculpture. On arriving at 7:30pm the gallery was already quite full and as the evening progressed it got fuller. I believe the head count on the door was over 380 people and this considering there were very few of the artists or relatives or hangers on you usually get at private views. Also as the bar was one drink free on arrival the rest you paid for, all the people were there for the art not the free drinks. There was also entertainment in the form of live music, pole dancers, burlesque show and me demonstrating life casting. All this provided a very festive evening. Fiona and Billy who own the gallery were pleased with the results of all their hard work and there were even a few red dots scattered around indicating work was sold. The exhibition goes on to 11th Feb.
I’ve just been to see my Erotic and Fetish photography work exhibited in a virtual gallery in Second Life. The gallery is called Alanis Gallery Sensual Images and is located at Xaara (64,207,25). It is owned by fellow artist Sylvia Fitzpatrick, during my visit I took my camera along and managed some virtual snaps, which you can see below. Sylvia has done a wonderful job with laying out my images for this initial exhibition, with plans to refresh the exhibition on a regular basis. All work is for sale so you can own a virtual John Tisbury work of art as well as a real one, surely the best of both worlds!
